Maybe if I start...

So nobody is blogging and it's making me sad because I don't know what is going on with anyone!! It's very sad. So maybe if I blog... I can start a chain reaction and then everyone will blog!! yes?? no?? i hope so!! So the semester is basically over, it's been crazy and I can't wait for it to be done. With classes, work, projects, mono, money, post-florida depression, it's been a rough semester. BUT with the amazing friends, constant partying at my house, whether its with the roomies or with other people, Church activiites, and lots of movies, it has been a lot of fun!

We finally got our 5th girl in the house. Her name is Arianne Judkins and we love her! She is so much fun and normal, we needed some normalcy. So now there are a total of 6 of us living in our house. Me, Colleen, Amber, Cristina, Arianne, and of course, Nate. (Don't worry, all BYU housing standards are being followed). We like to watch movies at our house, and we watch one every night basically. Ever genre. Horror (although not too scary) like "What Lies Beneath" and "Red Eye" SciFi like "I am Legend" and "I Robot" (yes, we love Will Smith) movies like "Johnny Lingo" and "The Other Side of Heaven" chick flicks of course "You've Got Mail" (Colleen's favorite movie)and "Letters to Juliet" and animated movies "Mulan" and "Space Jam." I watched Space Jam for the FIRST TIME ever last night!! It was great. So that's a very short list of movies, but those are some that we have watched recently.

We (my roomies and I) are trying to work out whenever we can...we do decently, but we could do better. We use a Jillian Michaels workout video. It's intense. It's pretty awesome, we didn't have weights, so we used cans of Progresso soup. But me and Colleen bought weights, so no more soup for us. Good thing, cuz it's getting cold and I want to eat my soup!!

Halloween was a lot of fun. I had a ward party and a work party and I was Belle at both. I made my beautiful Belle dress (thanks mom) and I love it!! It was a lot of fun to be Belle. I even dyed my hair... darker brown. I like it. But it's only temporary so it is going away...fading... but that's okay. Since Halloween is over, and we tend to skip Thanksgiving... okay, thats not true, I love Thanksgiving, I'm quite excited for Thanksgiving, but CHRISTMAS IS COMING!! I have been listening to Christmas music in my car and in the kitchen, it's a wonderful time of year!! We have a Countdown to Christmas chain and it's getting shorter!! Oh, we also have a Nate chaing (how many days in a row Nate has been at our house) and that one is getting longer. By now, the Nate Chain may be longer than the Christmas chain!! For Christmas for all of my roommates (Nate included) I am making footsie pajamas. I'm so excited! I have one pair done, except for the button and butt flap, and another cut out. They are basically going to be awesome!! I can't believe it...I'm sewing...all by myself. I made footsie pajamas all by myself. Where did that come from? Mom is thrilled becasue I'm sewing, Megan is sewing, Natalie is sewing. All those years of her twisting our arms to sew have finally paid off!! I am so glad that my mom took the time to teach me how to sew. Although I didn't appreciate it at the time... I sure do now!!

So for Church, I got called to be on the Family Home Evening Committee, and I am loving it. We plan really fun activities. Last week we had a magician come and we are going to do a lot of fun things for the rest of the year. It will be great. Also, for church, on December 11 we are going to go to Salt Lake and go to Savior of the World. i am very excited, it is supposed to be amazing!! We are going to have dinner catered at the church and then take some busses to Temple square. We'll go to the show and check out the lights, I AM SO EXCITED!!

Anyway, I think that kindof catches up my life for right now... I can't think of anything else terribly exciting...so I'm gonna wrap up. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

School is in session!!

So I'm still getting into the groove on being in provo and back in school. I have an amazing schedule this year!!I work Monday-Friday 8-11 at Student Services again. So, financial aid, scholarships, admissions, financial services, any questions let me know maybe i can help lol. Mondays and Wednesdays I have political science at 11 (I have to run CLEAR across campus in 10 minutes. 1:00 is Jazz dance. I love this class. It is kinda rough cuz I haven't stretched like this since dance camp with Misty! its crazy!! but it feels so good!! By the time this semester is over I will be way more stretchy! Maybe ill even get my left splits!! I've never been able to do those ones... anyway. 3:00 is biology. i LOVE my biology class. It's really interesting and the professor is so funny!! i have never laughed so much in a class as i do in that one!! it's really fantastic!! some of the things he says... or does...or wears. hawaiian shirt and camo pants and a purple belt. fashion statement?? i think so!! Finall at 5:00 is American Sign Language. I love this language its so cool!! I'm not amazing at it and I can tell I haven't signed for a while but I love learning it and using my hands to talk. I can say twice as much!! lol. Tuesdays I don't have anything after work until 5 (so its a great opportunity to do homework) and then I go to Book of Mormon. I love this class. It is so great to get to know more about this wonderful book. My teacher is great. I was really apprehensive about a femal BoM teacher, but I think she really knows her stuff and I like her so far. Thursdays I have staff meeting at 11 and then at 12 I go to a Political Science lab. which is fun. I like the group im in and I think it will be really helpful for the class. At 2:00 I go to ice skating!! so muchfun!! i have falled a couple times and banged up my knees pretty good, but its still way fun and im excited to learn to ice skate better :-) Fridays i go to work and DONT HAVE ANY CLASSES!! i love it. so i can run errands, come home, do homework, chill, whatever. its great.

I said goodbye to my very food friend lyndon orton on monday. He is now in the MTC getting ready to go to Guatemala. I can't believe it!! I miss him!! as i miss all the other wonderful missionaries in my life. They are such wonderful examples and I am so grateful for all of them, especially the ones i know and love. and...should write lol. maybe ill catch up on that tomorrow.

I can't really think of a lot else. Oh last weekend i went to wyoming with jared, sean, and nick and went to a football game (go eagles!!) rendezvous, and camping. we ate delicious food and had a lot of fun. SO, beyone that I can't really think of anything else... perhaps thats because im sooo tired. so i think im gonna end this and go to bed. i think that sounds like a wonderful idea. and im pretty sure i can hear my bed calling me "Annie!! come to me now!!" so im gonna heed that call and catch some z's. PS we got a fish and his name is Alejandro!! ya!! okay, good night all!! :-) hasta!!

Quick Walmart Story that Needs to Be Shared

Okay, hopefully i'll do a real post soon (cuz i have internet now!!) but this is just a quickie post. Me and Colleen went to walmart and on the way inside we got purred at. Then we were walking past the cash registers and a guy in line totally checked us out. Didn't even try to hide it. and then we were in movies and these two guys got in a conversation with us/hit on us and it was totally random and very funny. They asked where we lived. we gave them a rock on center street by the lake. they were going for our phone numbers....but something about them (like the fact that they had 2 loaves of bread, hamburger buns, a bamboo makeup brush and a box of tampons in their cart AND one of them had two of his fingernails painted purple) made us think that that may not be the best idea, so we didn't. but it was great. epic trip to walmart?? i think so. hasta!!

Home sweet... I MISS DISNEY!!

So I have been home since Saturday and that was an adventure. So, lets backtrack a little bit and work up to the getting home stuff. The last week of my college program were absolutely incredible (like all the weeks before it) I went to all the parks. I finished off Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios first (with Erick), hitting all the major things...Festival of the Lion King, Flights of Wonder, Finding Nemo the musical, Safari, Everest, Tower of Terror, Rockin Rollercoaster. I said goodbye to Downtown Disney that same day (with Keith) by walking around Once upon a Toy (my fav store in DTD i dont actually like World of Disney that much)eating at my favorite place to eat on property... Earl of Sandwich (they totally need to open one in provo. would make my life) getting some delicious ghiradelli icecream (agian...provo) and going to inception. which was amazing!! we'll get to the movie section later. On my last day of work I worked, said goodbye to everyone, cried a lot. Then got done with work (thanks Eusabio for the ER so I could play a little) oh and Eusabio (one of my fav coordinators) switched shifts with another coordinator (who im not as fond of) so that I had one of my favs for my last day/shift in Image. So I was meant to clock out at 6:30 which meant my bumpout would come anywhere after 6:15. I was in the show at 6:10 about to start a show, and I realized that it would be my very last show. Which, of course, made me start to cry. So i'm up on the podium and people are looking at me weird because, hello, im in the happiest place on Earth and im bawling!! So, i explain that it is my last day and my last show so everyone cheers crazy!! I tell them that im just going to try to get through the spiel so they can understnad me. I completely choke through the spiel,(more clapping) and get the show going. So im standing up in the back of the theater, hoping with everything in me that whoever gets my bumpout will be someone i like becasue I was planning on keeping my bumpout slip and how depressing would it have been if someone gave it to me that I wasn't as fond of?? Then I would have that as my last slip of paper from Image. Thankfullly, my friend (new friend actually) John had my bumpout. So he hands it to me and I cry. and I walk out of the theater and Erick is in show 2 and we both cry (it was his last day as well, but he lives in MEXICO!! so thats very sad) and I go to the breakroom and change my clothes and rip my work shoes apart (now that I have decent internet, hopefully ill get some pics posted soon) and kept crying, took some more pictures, cried, hugged everyone, and they all started singing "The sun will come up tomorrow" from Annie of course. So I cried some more. I rode Journey into Imagination and watched Caption EO (those things had to be the last things I did in the park. Walked around the showcase, got some food in France, and watched Illuminations, right on showcase plaza. You can , of course, see IllumiNations from anywhere around world showcase, but the show was just MADE for showcase plaza. It was INCREDIBLE!! After that, I walked out of Epcot, never to return. (this trip anyway) That night we (Me, Erick, Andrea, Ashley, Margaret, Bekka, and Tyler (if i forgot someone im sorry!!) went to Andreas house and Erick and Andrea made delicious mexican food. it was fun, we just ate and talked and took fun pics and said goodbye. more crying. Thursday I went to Magic Kingdom and said goodbye, but it looked like it was going to rain so I left MK. As I was walking out, Mickey's Dream and Dream Come True (the show in front of the castle) was ending so I walked down Main Street USA to the finale of that show, most epic way to leave the park EVER!!) and I went to downtown disney (but just pleasure island) and watched "Salt" Again, movies later. Friday was finishing packing, shipping boxes ($$$) and leaving Chatham. I went to Hutch and Caris and just kinda hung out with them, we watched a movie called "Possession" (ill talk about it in a minute). Saturday I hung out with Hutch and Cari and the girls somemore, we went canoing at Wachiwa (spelling...sorry) springs and that was fun. Then home, and off to the airport. Checked my bags, got through security, got to my gate, easy peasy. My flight was slightly delayed becasue the plane that was at the gate before my plane took longer to leave than it was supposed to, but only like 20-25 minutes so no big deal. When we were about to land in Denver, hello turbulance. like, bad. so it took us half an hour longer to land than it should have. thankfully, my gate for my next flight was the same gate that this plane landed in so I just had to hang out for like 20 minutes and id be on the plane. no such luck. flight delayed until 9:10 (it was supposed to leave at 7:40) so i pulled out the computer and settled in to watch hercules (i was not a happy camper by the way. not a hapy camper at all. and there was this newly wed couple who was on the same flight as me and they were all newly wedish and happy and it was sick. why couldnt they be upset about the delay, cuz i was, but no they were all happy and... happy.) another delay. 9:15 okay okay. Another delay. 9:40 AND a gat change. so we go all the way down to the end of the airport to another gate. FINALLY the plane gets there (story is, it was a direct flight to SLC from Pueblo and the plane got grounded in Pueble becasue of the weather) on the plane, and takeoff!! finally arrive in SLC around 11 and home. bed. Yesterday (monday) we (me, mom, landon, natalie, rachel) went and climbed Timpagogos cave (i didnt die!! even with the 7000 ft altitude difference!! I did get a lil' light headed tho.) but then we went on the Alpine slide and coaster, which was SO MUCH FUN!! then home. today, running errands, chilling. I was talking to someone about what we were going to do, and i honestly about said, we could just go to one of the parks. whoops. not at disney anymore. i cant get past that. its so sad :-( but ill be back in Utah soon, so that will be exciting :-)
Okay, movies. "Inception" SO INCREDIBLE!! loved it. I was worried I was gonna be super confused, but it wasnt as hard to follow as people made it sound, but it was so crazy awesome!! defs loved that movie!!
"Salt" was good, but not incredible. I felt like they didnt develop the plot enough to kill as many people as they did. And you really never knew who the bad guys were until the very very end. I feel like they left the end open for a sequal (speaking of sequals, i need to watch alvin and the chipmunks the squeakual)but I dont feel like they should, and I don't feel like they will.
"Possession" kindof an interesting movie, but not fabulous. It was just... way to cheesy. like... WAY. but it was not bad.
Okay, well I think that's it for now, so I'll blog again soon...hopefully :-)
HASTA!!

Catching Up (EO, Miami, Leaving!? and random stuff)

Okay, so my blog really has been kind of neglected. So, here is whats been going on. On July 2 Captain EO opened and I absolutely love it. It is a lot of fun, I get to spend day after day with Michael, and he always manages to make my day better. "We are here to Change the World" and "Another Part of Me" are the 2 featured songs and they are awesome!! The Supreme Leader has the best lines ever. "Silence Infidel" "You think me beautiful?!" "Turn the others into......... (...) trashcans!" "You infect my world with your presence" and of course "So... then we both admit to your... stupidity!!" but Hooter (the space elephant) also has a wonderful line "I think I ate it!" So it's fun to watch all that, but the singing and dancing just... wonderful. Sometimes when I'm getting a little tired (Extra Magic Hours...) well, sometimes when I'm tired, I go into the back of the theater (not the wheelchair section but right in front of it(as long as no one is back there)) and I dance along with Michael. I'm no where as good as him of course, and mobility is limited because I don't want to distract people from the movie lol) but I dance along and it's really super fun :-) So one weekend Anthony (new Image worker from France) was going to Miami and he had invited Andera (new Image crew from Arizona) to go and I was gonna go but I couldn't go cuz I had plans with Hutch and Cari and fam for the 4th of July which was SO MUCH FUN!! we went to this place called Faris and Foster's and I made chocolate!! They have all sorts of molds and cups (like for peanutbutter cups)truffle cups and everything that you could ever imagein (pretzels, strawberries, twinkies, graham crackers and much more) that can be covered in chocolate. and it was SO GOOD!! so that was way fun!! anyway, we decided that we wanted to go to Miami so me, Andrea, Sophie (Image from England) and Erick (Image from Mexico) went to Miami on July 16-17. Lots of driving, driving right through tolls, going to the beach, shopping (2 dresses, 2 cardis, 8 spaghetti straps, 5 pairs of earings and I didn't spend $100!!) more driving, chilling, it was a lot of fun so I'm glad we did that. Another improptu trip (although we did actually decided that we were goig about 2 weeks before we went. So not as random as Boston) and it was fun. Let's see the movies I've seen lately.. Toy Story 3 loved it, made me cry. Killers with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl and it was pretty good. I probably won't buy it but it was good and I'm glad I saw it. Eclipse which I liked. Defs the best Twilight movie so far. I thought it was well done, they got most of the important stuff in the book in although it was sad that they recast Victoria. The new one was not as good as the origional, but still did a good job. Despicable Me was quite possibly one of the funniest movies EVER!! "It's so fluffy I could DIE!!" Ya I loved it. and Finally, The Sorcerers Apprentice based on Fantasia (which is being released again soon!!) and it was really good. Nicholas Cage did a wonderful job!! And the Fantasia scene (with the music and the mops...) my face was quite funny. I was so excited. Oh... i went to Fantasmic! on Sunday and my face was the same then. Andrew (at Fantasmic!) and Paul (and S.P.) were both like... uh...wow. It was great lol. I've been at Disney for 7 months and it hasnt't lost any of the magic. I still love Disney. Always have. Always will. No Matter what. Never changing. I also finally finished the Star Wars moveis. all 6. and the last one (return of the jedi) was my favorite. It was really really good. And I just watched this version of snow white (not anamated) with Miranda Richardson as the Evil Queen and Kristin Kreuk as Snow White. It was a different take on the story but it was still good. I liked it. And I read in Entertainmant Weekly that Tim Burton is doing a version of Sleeping Beauty from Maleficent's point of view. awesome ya?! Angelina Jolie is meant to play Maleficent and I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I'm super excited to see it. Also coming out (but not by Tim Burton) is a new version of Little Mermaid (following origional sotry where she dies) Snow White (following origional story with thieving dwarves) Little Red Riding Hood (set in Midevil times and witha warewolf) and Cinderella (in the blurb it used the word "swashbuckling" and i'm not sure how I feel about that...but we'll see) So that's all stuff to look forward too. The next movie in theaters im planning on seeing is Inception which is supposed to be AMAZING!! I have only 8 days of work left :-( and in 2 weeks from yesterday (right now) I'm walking off a plane in Salt Lake City. Of course, have plans for the week before I go back to Utah but I get to that after it happens. So that's all for now!! Hasta!! :-D

6 Parks in 1 Day....Crazy, I know

So here at Disney, people do 4 parks in one day all the time. Margaret and I decided to follow the Disney Basics. Specifically one. "I go above and beyond" and we did 6 parks in one day. The two universal parks and the 4 disney parks. and MAN i was just dead by the end. We started our day at about 9 AM. Straight to Universal Stuios. We started in the Stuidos going on the Mummy and Men in Black. We have pictures, I'll try to get them on here, but they will be on facebook for sure!! Then we ran over to Islands of Adventures, which was PACKED!! There probably weren't as many people there as there were at any of the Disney Parks yesterday, but its much smaller so it seems much more crowded. Thanks to single rider lines though, we did okay. We got pics with X Men and a fun elephant in Seuss Landing. We rode the water ride...not dudley doright but the other one... i dont remember what its called right now. but we got absolutely soaked, and it was quite gross and uncomfortable so we bought some dresses. Unfortunately, they didn't have any with real sleeves, so i was in a spaghetti strap dress all day but whatever. at least it was clean and dry. After Universal we ran through the mcdonalds drive through and headed to Animal Kingdom. We went on the safari and can I just tell you it was the absolutel worst safari I have ever been on!! I dont know who the guide was but it was just awful. The driver only talked about the animals and nothing else, she was monotone and she didnt say anything about the bridges or anything fun at all. Kind of a snooze...we should have skpped it. When we were walking through Dinoland USA there were suddenly these loud footsteps behind me, I turn around and find Goofy RIGHT behind me. Scared me to death. He and Pluto were walking the park. No attendants though, so we couldnt get pictures. Oh well. Next park: Hollywood Studios. Here we went on The Great Movie Ride and thanks to my AWESOME roomie Katey, we were able to get fastpasses to Rockin Rollercoaster and Towe of Terror so we got to do all of those!! It was great. Next, fly to Epcot to park the car, run across the park and Monorail it to Magic Kingdom. The gold monorail pulls up to the station and we are ready to go until... "Ladies and Gentlmen, we are currently conducting a routine maintenance check on Monorail gold. Thank you for your patience." So we sit there... then they say "We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please board monorail teal behind you and Magic Kingdom will be the third stop." So we all go to monorail teal while monorail gold pulls out. As soon as monorail gold pulls out monorail blue pulls in. Teal leaves, and so does blue. Blue goes straight to MK but we all had to board teal which has to go to polynesian and grand floridian before it goes to MK. So FINALLY we get there. and run through security. We get into the park and go on Pirates and then dash to Splash Mountain where Margaret's friend had fast passes waiting for us. So we run on splash get off, hit up some photo pass people (we got photopass pics in all of the parks. We actually had AMAZING photopass people at Epcot, studios and animal kingdom. So much fun.) and left the park. Get to Epcot, run to soarin where we got some fastpasses from Keith and then headed over to Image, rode the ride, talked to some people and then ran to the front of the park to get Randi and Cale. Then we met up with Keith at Le Cellier and had the most amazing dinner ever!! It was so so good. And I discovered that I do actually like creme brulee. I had it plain in a basic foods class freshman year of high school and i didnt like it. But this was maple creme brulee and made professionally and wow it was good. Then we came home and I hurt. I have blisters and blood and it was simply an exhausting day. It was a lot of fun though, I'm glad we did it. But we will never do it again. Well, that was lots of fun, i'll blog again soon about things that are actually going one... but for now... Hasta :-)

A Vacation from Disney...Who Does That??

Answer: I DO!! But this blog is about more than my vacation from disney. Let's go back to... Tuesday (the day before my vacation lol) Tuesday I got to evac the ride!! This was very exciting because I have always wanted to Evac the ride and I have never got to and I have been here since January. I was starting to get worried that I wouldn't get to Evac the ride ever...but I did. The ride went down at 5 (because motors that like to slack so other motors have to kick it up and it just doesnt' work really well so the ride power disconnects) and we got it going again, but then at 5:30 it went down again for the same reason (apparently it also went down earlier in the day, before I got to work) but this time when it went down, well first there was a woman and her child that got off the ride in the ride so we ran into the ride and told people to remain seated and then Laura chased them out...they had actually left the ride, like went outside backstage, and she couldn't find them but here's the kicker... the woman's husband...stayed in the ride. yeah. he just sat there... but when I got back to dispatch they said we needed to Evac so me, laura, alex, channing, and steven went in the ride (we had never evaced before...any of us) and julie was managaing and she had never evaced either lol. yay. but its not hard, you just push the button turn the train and get the people out. So we evaced the ride and then it got started at around 6:30. it was quite an adventure. I loved it. Hopefully I'll get another evac before i leave.... anyway on tuesday we also had EMH (Extra Magic Hours) so I worked until 11 (which isn't bad since usually with EMH I don't get out until like 12 or 12:15) and then I went to TGI Friday's with Margaret and Kyle but I don't do good with the food thing late at night, it makes me sick. So I got a strawberry Daquari and Brownie Obsession. Yummy. :-) Wednesday I had off so I went to Epcot in the morning because we were having a FWW (Future World West: Land, Imag, Innoventions) cast thing to welcome in Captain EO. I haven't had BBQ in so long and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good :-) Then Randi and I went to Old Key West (A Disney Resort.) Yes, my Vacation from disney was at disney. We chekced in (although we got a little lost in Old Key West...its big, okay??)Then we went swimming. Old Key West has 4 swimming pools and we hit up two of them. The main pool which was awesome!! It had a sand castle that you could go inside and it was a water slide. And it looked like a kinda sad water slide until you went on it and it was AMAZING!! for a swimming pool slide. I mean, it's not a water park slide but it was a lot bigger than we expected. Then we went to another swimming pool that we had mostly to ourselves, which was great. Then we went back to our room and ordered pizza to be delivered and it was so good!! And we watched Sweet Home Alabama, although we had to pause a lot cuz my phone kept ringing. Well, then we went to the swimming pool that was closest to our our room and unfortunately, we didn't have it to ourselves. There were actually quite a few people there, it was like 10 so everyone was getting back from the parks. But we stayed there for a while, and at this pool we hit up the hot tub. We didn't at the other two cuz it was way too hot outside to get in a hot tub, but at 10 it was pretty much perfect :-) SO then we went back and put in Tuck Everlasting and I fell asleep pretty much at the beginning. LIke at the part where Winnie meets them for the first time... and the beds were real beds... pillow top... amazing. I am not looking forward to going back to sleeping on my brick tonight lol. So today we got up at like 9 and went to Olivia's for breakfast, we had Banana Bread French Toast. It was pretty dang good. Then we went to Epcot and played for a little bit. Now I'm watching Star Wars: A New Hope and Haley is making this delicious smelling stir fry thats gonna taste amazing and we are going to go swimming tonight cuz this random outdoor food guy at Epcot wants Randi to go swimming tonight... so we're gonna go. And then I'm going to go to bed and that will be the end of my Disney Vacation. Vacations (even if you are vacationing at your place of employment...a vacation is a vacation) are so essential to your mentality. This is one of the many many things I have learned since moving to Florida. I have learned a lot about life, money, and most importantly I have learned a lot about myself. Randi and I were talking about some of these things, and she said that she could have told them to me a long time ago, which is probably true, but I realized them. Like... kick in the face kind of realization. So thats good. A Vacation from Disney...at Disney... sounds kinda crazy, but it's all good :-) Hasta!!

It's Been a While...

I know its been a really super long time since I blogged, so here we go, quick recap. Nothing to report. I go to work I come home I watch Grey's Anatomy, I sleep. At the end of May Paul and his family came to Orlando so I got to see/meet them and that was a lot of fun. :-) We have a lot of new people at work: Cat, Erick, Alex, Channing, Emiko, Calvin, and Andrea. I like them all, they are a lot of fun. Today I got pulled a 10 minute task and didn't clock back in until over an hour later. Why you ask?? Becasue i was helping a woman who spoke very limited (but not bad) English, and fluent Russian, find her "man" and although she still hadn' found him by the time I left her at guest relations (I had been trying for an hour, there wasn't anything else I could do. I had tried to call her "man" I had called a translator so we could talk better, we looked around Image, and went to Soarin' I had tried everything I could think of.) I am hopeful that she found him. He had her bag: money, phone, everything. All she had on her was a Russian/English dictionary, a notebook, and a spray bottle fan. It was exciting lol. So, I mentioned that I watch Grey's Anatomy... it's true, I have become a hopeless addict. I have falled hopelessly/helplessly in love with Alex Karev, he's beautiful and although he comes off as a jerk, he is really an absolutely amazing guy. (I am fully aware that he is a fictional character). I have also been delving into the Star Wars saga (since apparently it's vital to my existance to watch Star Wars) So far i have watched 1 and 2 and I'll get 3 from netflix on Thursday and then I'll get into the origionals. This month at Hollywood Studios has been Star Wars Weekends. As part of this they do the Cyber Space Hoopla which involves Dancing with the Star Wars Stars. and it's pretty amazing. Can I just tell you... Darth Vader can DANCE!! I'll post my movies soon, or as soon as possible...which could be a while... but I'll post them. Oh yeah, I now officially have my ticket home from Florida. I fly home on August 7. I am of course super excited to see my family and friends from home and everything, but I am going to be devestated to leave Florida. I'm going to be a blubbering mess. Oh well, it's part of life right?? I'll just enjoy the month and a half that I have left here I suppose. :-) Okay, that's all for now. Hasta!!

The Boston Saga and a few other things

First off, we had our last day of Honey I Shrunk the Audience on Sunday and it was way fun!! I got to close photocell (where people come into the theater) and then I got to go in and watch the last show. Then I went to Davey Jones and that was a super fun concert!! then a cast party and Iron Man!! how I love that show!! Then on Monday Louisa asked if I wanted to go to Boston. WE had $10 flights it was super awesome!! So we decided to go. Then Monday night I was Iron Man 2 with Margaret and Keith and it was super awesome!! I love that show!! I got home at about 1 and had to leave at 3:30 so I didnt even go to sleep...

just stayed awake got to the airport, got on the plane which left at 6:30. Could I sleep on the plane?? no. stayed awake. We got to Boston at like 9:30 and figured out the bus/subway system and found our hostel. I had never stayed at one before so it was very interesting but it was pretty nice. Louisa said it was nice for a hostel so that's what I'm going with lol. Then we walked to Boston Common and got on the Trolley!! We went all around Boston, to Fenway park past Copley Place to MIT and then to Harvard!!
We ate at Harvard and bought "Oh the Places You'll Go" in the bookstore. I have officially bought a book at Harvard. I feel cool. Then we went on the Freedom trail which took us around more of Boston and we gotta see some pretty cool historic sites. By then we were exhausted so we walked back Berkely and hit up Newbury Street...didn't buy anything of course. We were really hungry but there's pretty much only pricey resturaunts on Berkely so we just stopped at the coolest 7-11 you'll ever see that was right across the Hostel. We were in our room by 6:30 and asleep by 7. Then we woke up at midnight cuz Louisa fell out of bed. It was super funny. And then went back to sleep and got up at 8. We were in Boston for like 36 hours and we slept for 12 lol. So we went back on the Trolley Tour and got off at at Copley Place. This has lots of stores like Tiffany's...where I ate breakfast!! I needed to buy new jeans but jeans cost like $100 and i didnt wanna spend that much money on a pair of jeans.
So i bought a new outfit!! It's so cute!! and it cost less than the jeans!! Then we went back past Fenway park, it was game day, the game was starting in 15 minutes and I couldn't go!! it was sad :-( Next, we went on the Boston Harbor Cruise it was 45 minutes and we saw some way cool things there. Then it was back to the airport. We got on the plane at 5:55 the plane was meant to live at 6:25 but sadly it got delayed thanks to weather down in D.C. area so we finally got rerouted and left at about 7:30ish and finally we got home. Margaret was nice enough to come pick us up at the airport and after a quick stop at Dairy Queen for Blizzards and then home. It was a super whirlwind trip but it was super duper fun. Then today I went to walmart...yuck. and then to Cirque du Soleil it was so amazing. Worth every penny. Now im chillin at home blogging. Tomorrow I'm doing an audience control shift for the Chubby Checker concert and Saturday back to my real job. I have had lots of fun but it'll be good to go back. Well, thats pretty much my life right now. luvya!!

Updating My Blog

So apparently I need to update my blog. Megan pretty much yelled at me for not updating it last night lol. So this is my update...The only problem with updating it is... not a whole lot has happened so I don't really have much to update...so I'll post pictures instead!! :-D

This is the Imagination Institue where I work! Back in the day there were some really awesome things to do inside the pyramids but due to ADA regulations, the upstairs is now closed and we have the Kodak ImageWorks downstairs instead. And it is not nearly as cool as what used to be upstairs. These pyramids look way awesome when they are lit up at night. I'll try to get a picture of that.

This picture is of 3 Aussies, a Kiwi, and me!! I love them all and I'm gonna miss them as we all leave and they go back to Australia... so far away. But it's okay, I'm gonna see them in 2012

The only thing that really happened this week, well after the day we had the signal 25 I had to evac the theater cuz the floor was making a weird noise and then of course, maintenance shows up and the floor behaves wonderfully. stupid floor. HISTA just knows it is on the way out and so it is going to give us as many problems as it possibly can. But only 3 more days!! If we are on set shows (running every half hour instead of every 10 minutes) then there are only 69 shows of HISTA left. Actually, less cuz they have been running shows for a couple of hours already today wahoo!! Captain EO here we come!! I have been practicing my moon walking. I learned the technique about a year and a half ago from CJ and Hayden but I always sucked at it. Now, I am decent and you can tell what I'm doing so thats very exciting!! and I'm learning Thriller. Oh Michael Jackson, you're getting to my head. I love it!! Haley, one of the coordinators, wants people to sneak as many michael jackson references into their HISTA spiels as they can. Technically we aren't allowed to talk about Captain EO over the mic but we can say things like it's a "thriller" of an attraction or "I want you back" all the way to the stage "Enjoy yourself" in the movie, I need everyone "off the wall" on the right hand side as that walkway is an emergency exit and so on. On Wednesday night there was the formal and I was totally not going to go I was gonna make dinner, watch a movie, go to bed, but then I randomly ended up going anyway. I decided I was going, got ready, and ran to the front of Chatham in stilettos in about 15 minutes. It was impressive. anyway, that was pretty fun it was just really chill and there was good food, music, people and of course, drama. cant have a dance without drama!! Isn't it amazing what happens when you start blogging?? you just can't stop. here I thought i didnt have anything to write about and then... i just keep going and going like the energizer bunny. So megan, i hope this blog keeps you happy for a while lol. One more thing. I have decided that I am going to Australia in June 2012. Why you may ask?? Well, I have my aussie and kiwi friends (see picture above)and i want to visit them!! and i want to go to australia, i always have!! Well, i have decided that most people get a thrill on their 21 birthday by drinking their way into oblivion. I want a thrill on my 21 birthday too, but not from drinking. I have decided that I will get my thrill by jumping 14000 feet from an airplane and land on the white sands (the place im looking at jumping says white sand) of an exclusive (it also says exclusive) beach in Australia!! It's gonna be a pricey trip but it will SO be worth it!! So thats my plan, and thats all I have to write about... luvya!!

A Blogworthy Day

What an amazing day it was today!! I woke up... chilled for a couple of hours and then headed to EPCOT with Louisa (my Kiwi friend) we just kinda chilled... got some delicious food in France and then met up with Tyler (whose blog, by his own words, is much better than mine ;-) its all good, it really is...) and we watched the American Adventure, which was pretty cool although a little scattered, hard to follow. but the animatronics were AMAZING!! Then to work... it was way awesome tho!! Lou and I got to do the wave (thanks ryan and keith (coordinators)) and that was so much fun!! i got to wear an awesome mickey glove and wave goodbye to thousands of people :-) way fun. and then we had a signal 25 in the building!! so we took everyone out and waited for everything to be all clear and it was great. and today i had an old man ask me if i was going on the ride with them and telling me he has a soft lap. uh... great. so after everything was all clear we were going back into the building I did a cartwheel cuz i was in such a good mood!! i loved Extra Magic Hours tonight!! I was so energetic!! lol i made myself energetic so that i wouldnt fall asleep cuz those were my only two options. Oh, I said i would dedicate a blog to Tyler (old tyler. new tyler is the one whose blog is better than mine) so, ill dedicate a sentence of a blog. Tyler, you are awesome, I will miss you when you leave. done. obligation fulfilled. Awesome, well thats it for now!! luvya!! :-D

Movie Reviews!!

So lately I have watched lots of great movies. Sisterhood of the traveling pants one and two, there is defs some great eye candy in those movies!! I love the stories of the 4 friends and the very typical teenage things they go through are very relatable. I watched Wall-e and although i wasn't 100% watching it, what i did pay attention to i liked. i thought it was cute and had a good message. I was very apprehensive about watching it becasue the commercials drove me crazy!! Today I had a total "me day" I went to magic kingdom and EPCOT and I bought the most amazing perfume in france called "pure poison" it smells so good!! and i got a great deal!! then i went to downtown disney and ate at earls and bought the great mouse detective which i havent seen for YEARS and im so excited to watch it!! now, onto the movie i saw... I went to bounty hunter and it was great!! it was way funny and not dirty(which i was worried about) i mean there was the one scene where they were in a strip club so you got a little butt shot... but close your eyes for like 2 seconds and you're good. but that movie really made me laugh and it was such an awesome end to my "me day." yay!! and i am SO excited for iron man 2 to come out on may 7!! yay!! and apparently im going to watch chocolat now... well, as soon as we find out who wins Iron chef america!! go bobby flay!! luvya!!

Annie LaMae's Lovely Life :-)

What a lovely couple of days it has been!! Thursday me and haley went to Vista and got movies and went home and we had a sleepover!! Becca joined us, but Katey wasn't there :-( we watched James and the Giant Peach and ate lots of junk food lol. On Friday I called in and bought massive amounts of music, including a lot of oldies. Janie Frickie, Peter Paul & Mary, Johnny Cash, Old Time Rock and Roll, Michael Jackson... it was great. I chilled with Randi for a little bit and then we and haley went to walmart. I got my nails done!! :-) I love it!! :-) We came home and made a delicious dinner and started a fire in the kitchen... i was pouring pasta into the pan and some of the noodles were too short and ended up going in the burner so a fire started, which i blew out like it was a giant birthday cake :-) and then the fire alarm started to go off, so we fanned like crazy and got the stupid thing to turn off, thankfully we got it off before the sprinklers went off. that would have been bad...all our computers were sitting on the floor, open. Then we watched Pinocchio and ran mission impossible, although we didnt actually watch it and randi and I swapped more music. i got glee music :-) Saturday was rather uneventful, work and then chilling bed. Sunday, today, I actually got to go to church!! It was so nice to go, I haven't been in over a month!! And it was the first time I have been to the new building!! It was so nice to be in a church building instead of a hotel. i mean, the spirit was the same in the hotel, the building doesnt matter so much, but it is still really nice to meet in an actual church building. Then I went to work, I had to go through the Utilildor at Magic Kingdom and I havent been there since Traditions, but thankfully I got amazing instructions from katey and her friend hannah and I found my way just fine. :-)I was at work until 9:00. But at 7 when I was going outside to tell people that we were closed there was a tornado watch, and massive thunder and lightning and sheets of rain so I had to go inside. So I was inside a small space for 2 hours. I found games on the radio...that was fun. And thats pretty much all. It has just been a really fabulous couple of days and I thought I would share. :-) Luvya!!

Catch Up

So it's been a while since I blogged... so here's a catch-up. Work... pretty un-eventful, although there have been some very fun rumors going around about the future of HISTA... so we will see what happens with that... exciting stuff :-) Um... wow, not a lot of things have happened, life is pretty chilled and laid back. The new Glee was awesome!! That show is so much fun!! and secret life starts back up again in June so that will be fun!! I cant believe that its down to like 12 weeks. A guy I work with brought that little fact to my attention, and it was very sad realization. I am excited to go home and see everyone and I have several things I am very excited to eat!! Like cocoa bean... spoon me... the fries from great steak... it will be fabulous :-) but I am really sad to leave all my amazing friends here and leave my awesome benefits like getting into all of the parks for free, water parks free (until june 13 and then massively discounted). I went to blizzard beach today, my shoulders got sunburned; my legs, of course, did not. I went on Summit Plummet. The second tallest/fastest free falling waterslide in the world, plunging you 120 feet going 60 mph and its super steep!! It was way fun! although, it did hurt my butt A LOT!! you're going really fast, and cutting through the water...kinda hurts. totally and completely worth it!! I defs recommend it to anyone and everyone!! :-) Hopefully I will get a pic of me falling soon and post it. (hopefully ill post lots of pics soon butreally, they're all on fb lol) anywho... Have lots of fun!! luvya!!

"PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" CHOCOLATE FROSTING

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
2/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 2 cups frosting.

I did not use the frosting recipe, so idk how that is, but the cake itself is so yummy!! Now, on to movies. Tonight I went to see Clash of the Titans. I have heard very mixed reviews about it, and so I wasnt sure if I would like it or not, but Haley my roomie :-) wanted to go watch it, so we did and I really did like it. It is not a movie that i will buy, but I would watch it again, I wouldnt pay for it at a theater again, but I would definately watch it again.

Oh, one more thing, today at work, we had an auatomatic power disconnect on the ride...while we were doing the ride through. So I was about to leave, when someone called at photo so I ran to the ride and hung out until they got the ride moving again. Every time I do the ride through at night I hope that theres not gonna be an estop, so from now on, I will REALLY be hoping that theres not an estop while im not the ride cuz that would not be cool. and I still havent done an evac and I thought I would get to today, with having the ride down twice...but not. grr!! I JUST WANNA DO AN EVAC DANGIT!!

night everyone!! :-)

My future plans

So currently I am an Elementary Education Major, which I'm happy about, my 2 and 3 grade teachers were so amazing, they were just such amazing teachers, they always made me feel loved and like I could do wahtever i wanted in life. This is a main reason why I decided to go into Elementary Education. Well, when I was 13 I went to Niagra Falls and the aquarium there. I watched a sea lion show, and like probably every other child there, I decided that it would be alot of fun to work with sea animals, training would be the ultimate goal. Later that year we had to write a research paper on a career that we might be interested in going into. I wrote mine of marine biology and I just fell more into the idea with the things that I learned. Well, eventually I graduated and went to college where I declared in ElEd. Coming back to Florida and being in an enviornment where I am around these magnificent animals more and going to sea world and watching their amazing shows, has brought this desire back and so I have of course been doing some more research, trying to decide what the heck I'm gonna do with my life. BYU has a marine biology program!! It really does!! And in that program, I would spend some time on the West Coast!! However, I don't think I should just jump right into this. I mean, yes I liked biology when I was in high school, it is definately my favorite of the sciences, and I'm actually not too bad at it. (physics and biology are like polar opposites for me.) But In my research of becoming an aquatic mammal trainer (again, this would be the ultimate goal, and sea lions would be my first choice, over whales or dolphins although any of those would be so amazing) anyway, they do like people to have educational backgrounds... and I checked the minor list at BYU... you can't minor in biology, let alone marine biology so that sucks but what do you do?? So here's what I'm thinking, any advice/thoughts from anyone would be greatly appreciated. For now, I am going to keep my ElEd major, after I'm not in the program yet so really the classes I'm taking now are pretty much GEs so I may as well just stay declared in my current major while I finish them up. This semester I will be taking Biology so this will be a good opportunity for me to see if I still like it as much as I did. I am also going to apply to voulenteer at the Hogal Zoo (cuz people hiring for trainers look highly upon this, and you have to start somewhere right??) So after this semester, I will decide if I want to stay in Elementary Education or if maybe I want to switch to Secondary Education, and teach Biology, or if I want to major in Biology and get a teaching certification, or if I want to major in marine biology and either teach or get into the training scene (note: being a marine biologist is different than being a trainer but I figure that being a marien biologist could only help with training right? I mean, knowing about the animals I would be working with could only be considered a positive thing.) So that is my current dilemma. Oh also, I ahve been trying to get back into the getting into shape thing, well now I have motivation!! You have to be in shape to be a trainer so yay for having a reason to run. I love it!! So thats pretty much what is going on in my life, besides working, sleeping, and watching Glee, ya I started watching that... got all caught up and now I'm waiting for next Tuesday when another episode comes out. Oi. Well thats all for now. Seeya!!

Explaining Things.

Okay, first thing first the title of my blog. Traditionally The Princess and the Frog is the story of the girl who kisses the frog who turns into her Prince. Well, this is kinda how I got the idea, but it's more than just a frog turning into the perfect life. It is about taking something less desirable, getting over your pride, and making it into a fabulous situation. Frogs are things in life that maybe don't come to you like you plan. But if there is one thing I have learned in this life, it is that nothing every happens exactly as planned. At that point, there are two choices. You can mope and complain because things didn't happen like you wanted them to. Or you can see past that, work with what you have, and make somthing even better. Let's be hones here, a prince is definately better than a frog. :-)

Hello

Hey everyone, I guess I am entering the world of blogging. So here goes. My name is Annie LaMae and currently I am living in Orlando, Florida and working for Walt Disney World!! I work in EPCOT (Experimental and Prototype Community of Tomorrow). I work in the Imagination Pavilion which is the building that is lit up beautifully at night!! We have a fountain...that falls up!! Coolest thing ever!! (I'll get pictures up soon)I work with some Amazing people I have had so much fun getting to know them, and when we all leave, I'm going to be very very sad. About me I guess, I attend school at BYU (or I will once I leave the college program in August) and I am currently enrolled for American History, Bio, ASL, ballroom, and... martial arts! I mean, this could change (classes don't start til August) but I think it would be a very interesting/fun class to take. And then I would really be able to kick butt!! :-) Okay, I have lots of things I want to say, but I don't know how to put them all down, so, I guess I will just take it slow and.... it'll be fun. Seeya!!
