A Blogworthy Day

What an amazing day it was today!! I woke up... chilled for a couple of hours and then headed to EPCOT with Louisa (my Kiwi friend) we just kinda chilled... got some delicious food in France and then met up with Tyler (whose blog, by his own words, is much better than mine ;-) its all good, it really is...) and we watched the American Adventure, which was pretty cool although a little scattered, hard to follow. but the animatronics were AMAZING!! Then to work... it was way awesome tho!! Lou and I got to do the wave (thanks ryan and keith (coordinators)) and that was so much fun!! i got to wear an awesome mickey glove and wave goodbye to thousands of people :-) way fun. and then we had a signal 25 in the building!! so we took everyone out and waited for everything to be all clear and it was great. and today i had an old man ask me if i was going on the ride with them and telling me he has a soft lap. uh... great. so after everything was all clear we were going back into the building I did a cartwheel cuz i was in such a good mood!! i loved Extra Magic Hours tonight!! I was so energetic!! lol i made myself energetic so that i wouldnt fall asleep cuz those were my only two options. Oh, I said i would dedicate a blog to Tyler (old tyler. new tyler is the one whose blog is better than mine) so, ill dedicate a sentence of a blog. Tyler, you are awesome, I will miss you when you leave. done. obligation fulfilled. Awesome, well thats it for now!! luvya!! :-D

Movie Reviews!!

So lately I have watched lots of great movies. Sisterhood of the traveling pants one and two, there is defs some great eye candy in those movies!! I love the stories of the 4 friends and the very typical teenage things they go through are very relatable. I watched Wall-e and although i wasn't 100% watching it, what i did pay attention to i liked. i thought it was cute and had a good message. I was very apprehensive about watching it becasue the commercials drove me crazy!! Today I had a total "me day" I went to magic kingdom and EPCOT and I bought the most amazing perfume in france called "pure poison" it smells so good!! and i got a great deal!! then i went to downtown disney and ate at earls and bought the great mouse detective which i havent seen for YEARS and im so excited to watch it!! now, onto the movie i saw... I went to bounty hunter and it was great!! it was way funny and not dirty(which i was worried about) i mean there was the one scene where they were in a strip club so you got a little butt shot... but close your eyes for like 2 seconds and you're good. but that movie really made me laugh and it was such an awesome end to my "me day." yay!! and i am SO excited for iron man 2 to come out on may 7!! yay!! and apparently im going to watch chocolat now... well, as soon as we find out who wins Iron chef america!! go bobby flay!! luvya!!

Annie LaMae's Lovely Life :-)

What a lovely couple of days it has been!! Thursday me and haley went to Vista and got movies and went home and we had a sleepover!! Becca joined us, but Katey wasn't there :-( we watched James and the Giant Peach and ate lots of junk food lol. On Friday I called in and bought massive amounts of music, including a lot of oldies. Janie Frickie, Peter Paul & Mary, Johnny Cash, Old Time Rock and Roll, Michael Jackson... it was great. I chilled with Randi for a little bit and then we and haley went to walmart. I got my nails done!! :-) I love it!! :-) We came home and made a delicious dinner and started a fire in the kitchen... i was pouring pasta into the pan and some of the noodles were too short and ended up going in the burner so a fire started, which i blew out like it was a giant birthday cake :-) and then the fire alarm started to go off, so we fanned like crazy and got the stupid thing to turn off, thankfully we got it off before the sprinklers went off. that would have been bad...all our computers were sitting on the floor, open. Then we watched Pinocchio and ran mission impossible, although we didnt actually watch it and randi and I swapped more music. i got glee music :-) Saturday was rather uneventful, work and then chilling bed. Sunday, today, I actually got to go to church!! It was so nice to go, I haven't been in over a month!! And it was the first time I have been to the new building!! It was so nice to be in a church building instead of a hotel. i mean, the spirit was the same in the hotel, the building doesnt matter so much, but it is still really nice to meet in an actual church building. Then I went to work, I had to go through the Utilildor at Magic Kingdom and I havent been there since Traditions, but thankfully I got amazing instructions from katey and her friend hannah and I found my way just fine. :-)I was at work until 9:00. But at 7 when I was going outside to tell people that we were closed there was a tornado watch, and massive thunder and lightning and sheets of rain so I had to go inside. So I was inside a small space for 2 hours. I found games on the radio...that was fun. And thats pretty much all. It has just been a really fabulous couple of days and I thought I would share. :-) Luvya!!

Catch Up

So it's been a while since I blogged... so here's a catch-up. Work... pretty un-eventful, although there have been some very fun rumors going around about the future of HISTA... so we will see what happens with that... exciting stuff :-) Um... wow, not a lot of things have happened, life is pretty chilled and laid back. The new Glee was awesome!! That show is so much fun!! and secret life starts back up again in June so that will be fun!! I cant believe that its down to like 12 weeks. A guy I work with brought that little fact to my attention, and it was very sad realization. I am excited to go home and see everyone and I have several things I am very excited to eat!! Like cocoa bean... spoon me... the fries from great steak... it will be fabulous :-) but I am really sad to leave all my amazing friends here and leave my awesome benefits like getting into all of the parks for free, water parks free (until june 13 and then massively discounted). I went to blizzard beach today, my shoulders got sunburned; my legs, of course, did not. I went on Summit Plummet. The second tallest/fastest free falling waterslide in the world, plunging you 120 feet going 60 mph and its super steep!! It was way fun! although, it did hurt my butt A LOT!! you're going really fast, and cutting through the water...kinda hurts. totally and completely worth it!! I defs recommend it to anyone and everyone!! :-) Hopefully I will get a pic of me falling soon and post it. (hopefully ill post lots of pics soon butreally, they're all on fb lol) anywho... Have lots of fun!! luvya!!

"PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" CHOCOLATE FROSTING

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
2/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 2 cups frosting.

I did not use the frosting recipe, so idk how that is, but the cake itself is so yummy!! Now, on to movies. Tonight I went to see Clash of the Titans. I have heard very mixed reviews about it, and so I wasnt sure if I would like it or not, but Haley my roomie :-) wanted to go watch it, so we did and I really did like it. It is not a movie that i will buy, but I would watch it again, I wouldnt pay for it at a theater again, but I would definately watch it again.

Oh, one more thing, today at work, we had an auatomatic power disconnect on the ride...while we were doing the ride through. So I was about to leave, when someone called at photo so I ran to the ride and hung out until they got the ride moving again. Every time I do the ride through at night I hope that theres not gonna be an estop, so from now on, I will REALLY be hoping that theres not an estop while im not the ride cuz that would not be cool. and I still havent done an evac and I thought I would get to today, with having the ride down twice...but not. grr!! I JUST WANNA DO AN EVAC DANGIT!!

night everyone!! :-)

My future plans

So currently I am an Elementary Education Major, which I'm happy about, my 2 and 3 grade teachers were so amazing, they were just such amazing teachers, they always made me feel loved and like I could do wahtever i wanted in life. This is a main reason why I decided to go into Elementary Education. Well, when I was 13 I went to Niagra Falls and the aquarium there. I watched a sea lion show, and like probably every other child there, I decided that it would be alot of fun to work with sea animals, training would be the ultimate goal. Later that year we had to write a research paper on a career that we might be interested in going into. I wrote mine of marine biology and I just fell more into the idea with the things that I learned. Well, eventually I graduated and went to college where I declared in ElEd. Coming back to Florida and being in an enviornment where I am around these magnificent animals more and going to sea world and watching their amazing shows, has brought this desire back and so I have of course been doing some more research, trying to decide what the heck I'm gonna do with my life. BYU has a marine biology program!! It really does!! And in that program, I would spend some time on the West Coast!! However, I don't think I should just jump right into this. I mean, yes I liked biology when I was in high school, it is definately my favorite of the sciences, and I'm actually not too bad at it. (physics and biology are like polar opposites for me.) But In my research of becoming an aquatic mammal trainer (again, this would be the ultimate goal, and sea lions would be my first choice, over whales or dolphins although any of those would be so amazing) anyway, they do like people to have educational backgrounds... and I checked the minor list at BYU... you can't minor in biology, let alone marine biology so that sucks but what do you do?? So here's what I'm thinking, any advice/thoughts from anyone would be greatly appreciated. For now, I am going to keep my ElEd major, after I'm not in the program yet so really the classes I'm taking now are pretty much GEs so I may as well just stay declared in my current major while I finish them up. This semester I will be taking Biology so this will be a good opportunity for me to see if I still like it as much as I did. I am also going to apply to voulenteer at the Hogal Zoo (cuz people hiring for trainers look highly upon this, and you have to start somewhere right??) So after this semester, I will decide if I want to stay in Elementary Education or if maybe I want to switch to Secondary Education, and teach Biology, or if I want to major in Biology and get a teaching certification, or if I want to major in marine biology and either teach or get into the training scene (note: being a marine biologist is different than being a trainer but I figure that being a marien biologist could only help with training right? I mean, knowing about the animals I would be working with could only be considered a positive thing.) So that is my current dilemma. Oh also, I ahve been trying to get back into the getting into shape thing, well now I have motivation!! You have to be in shape to be a trainer so yay for having a reason to run. I love it!! So thats pretty much what is going on in my life, besides working, sleeping, and watching Glee, ya I started watching that... got all caught up and now I'm waiting for next Tuesday when another episode comes out. Oi. Well thats all for now. Seeya!!

Explaining Things.

Okay, first thing first the title of my blog. Traditionally The Princess and the Frog is the story of the girl who kisses the frog who turns into her Prince. Well, this is kinda how I got the idea, but it's more than just a frog turning into the perfect life. It is about taking something less desirable, getting over your pride, and making it into a fabulous situation. Frogs are things in life that maybe don't come to you like you plan. But if there is one thing I have learned in this life, it is that nothing every happens exactly as planned. At that point, there are two choices. You can mope and complain because things didn't happen like you wanted them to. Or you can see past that, work with what you have, and make somthing even better. Let's be hones here, a prince is definately better than a frog. :-)

Hello

Hey everyone, I guess I am entering the world of blogging. So here goes. My name is Annie LaMae and currently I am living in Orlando, Florida and working for Walt Disney World!! I work in EPCOT (Experimental and Prototype Community of Tomorrow). I work in the Imagination Pavilion which is the building that is lit up beautifully at night!! We have a fountain...that falls up!! Coolest thing ever!! (I'll get pictures up soon)I work with some Amazing people I have had so much fun getting to know them, and when we all leave, I'm going to be very very sad. About me I guess, I attend school at BYU (or I will once I leave the college program in August) and I am currently enrolled for American History, Bio, ASL, ballroom, and... martial arts! I mean, this could change (classes don't start til August) but I think it would be a very interesting/fun class to take. And then I would really be able to kick butt!! :-) Okay, I have lots of things I want to say, but I don't know how to put them all down, so, I guess I will just take it slow and.... it'll be fun. Seeya!!
