I FINALLY HAVE A CAMERA CORD!

so that means a new blog! So the last time I blogged was...in August. So, I guess we'll just have a a catch up! In September I started a project for my Shakespeare class. I made a Tudor era dress, complplete with a bum roll and stuffing for boobs. Why? So that a guy could wear it and look like a woman, like how plays were done in Shakespeare's day! I also learned that I am related to Shakespeare! Actually, both of his grandmothers were Webb girls. Cool huh? The greatest playwright is more Webb than Shakespeare! It's a really pretty dress, so I'll try to get a picture of me wearing it (they exist, they're just not in my posession) so I can post it on here. Okay, So then at the end of September I moved out of the house I had been living in for over a year to Spanish Fork with my Aunt Jan and Uncle John. Let me tell you, moving was stressful! I had a ton of stuff (I had everything I needed to furnish a house) so most of it now lives at DI. But I got moved. Then 3 days later...

I got hit. Rear ended by a Subaru Outback which sent me Careening into the Sion in front of me. So my car was totally killed. We couldn't even open the trunk to get stuff out, we had to rip the back seat off. Thankfully, the guy who hit me had really good insurance and they took care of me. For about a week I got to drive this baby.

2011 Toyota Camry. I really loved this picture. However, there were other repercussions from this accident. Due to some whiplash I had several medications (which I didn't take) and I got to wear

a neck brace. It was awesome, I'd be at school and walk into a room and all eyes would be on me, kind of like Cinderella at the ball. Then I remembered I wasn't a mysterious beautiful princess arriving at the ball, nope. I was wearing a neck brace. The attention was significantly less flattering when I realized that.

So at Student Services I was the "fun enabler" (student services lingo for event coordinator) and I loved it! We did all sorts of fun things, water parties, bonfires, games, auctions, and of course Halloween and Christmas parties. So for the Halloween party I wore my beautiful dress (mentioned above) and I made these adorable cupcakes.

Then for the Christmas party I made the simplest center pieces ever. I used noel snow fabric, glass bowls, water, green glass beads, cranberries, and peppermint scented tea candles. It turned out really pretty.

I had a fun Christmas outfit, I looked kind of like a candy cane, and had a photoshoot. All the pics are on my facebook page, but here are some of my favorites.

Oh! The other stuff I've been up to, playing partying fishing. That's right. I went fishing last week from like 7-10 PM with Wes and Aaron and it was SO FUN! it was really cold. I caught 11 fish! in Salem pond. Which had really pretty trees floating in it and there was a gorgeous relfection of a tree but I didn't have my camera so I don't have any pictures :-( Okay, I really caught 8 fish. But one of them was an albino! So he counts as 4 fish. I caugh the very first albino! Eventually Aaron caught one, but Wes never did. Ha. So much for being a lucky fisherman. Actually, he really is, the fish just seem to jump onto his pole. It's ridiculous. I also hosted two murder mysteries. The first was called Pasta, Pistols and Passion. It had the Characters of Mama Rosa (me) Bo Jalias (Phil) Angel Roni (Dayla) Marco Roni (Chase) Clari Vouyant (Amy) Father Alfredo (Charlie) Rocco Scarfazzi (Steve) and Tara Missu (Camille) We had a lot of fun! We ate pasta, breadsticks, salad (very olive garden) and solved the mystery of who killed my husband, Pepi Roni! Unfortunately, my camera was dead so I don't have pictures.
The other one I did was called Murder on the Grill and it was totally different. It was set in the 50s so I had fun decorating.

We entered the world of the 50s. We grilled hamburgers, drank soda from glass bottles, listened to Chubby Checker, hula hooped (Jenny was by far the best) and uncovered the murderer of Tom Dooley! The suspects are:

Johnny Angel the Greaser Mechanic(Wes Bradford)

Bobby Sox Tom's little sister (Jenny Bradford)

Chubby Cheddar rock musician famous for hits like The Twist (Jess Tuttle)

Barby Q the dazzling divorcee who gets any man she wants (Mandi Peck)

Ivan Spudnick Russian scientist (Aaron Morse)

Tiara Diamond Tom's beautiful fiancee (Me)

So that was a lot of fun. Well, that pretty much sums everything up. I finished out the semester finally and now I'm all ready for Christmas! Stay tuned for Christmas goodies! :-)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I make the yummiest food...

So I have decided that once a week I am going to make something that I have never tried before. So Wednesday is the magical day. So the first week I made...

Chicken Tikki Masala which is an Indian food. Recipe...

Ingredients :
2 tbsp coriander seeds
2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp jeera
1 tsp mango powder
1 tsp chilli powder
juice of a lime
10 good thick yoghurt
salt to taste
2 lb chicken, diced
5 to 6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped
chicken stock or water
oil
Method :
Grind the spices and mix with marinade ingredients.
Marinade chicken in the fridge for 24 hours.
Heat oil in a frying pan or wok until becomes very hot.
Stir fry chicken vigorously for about 5 minutes.
Take out chicken and keep warm.
Fry the onion and garlic until just browning and return chicken with any remaining marinade, plus stock, plus more spices if you think the sauce needs it an extra tsp of cumin and coriander may 'lift' it a little.
Simmer until chicken is cooked and Sauce is nice and thick.
Ready to serve.

I couldn't find jeera or corriander seeds, so I used a curry spice that had corriander seeds in it, but no jeera. It was still good though.

and Naan (Indian bread)
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 egg, beaten
2 teaspoons salt
4 1/2 cups bread flour
2 teaspoons minced garlic (optional)
1/4 cup butter, melted
Directions
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand about 10 minutes, until frothy. Stir in sugar, milk, egg, salt, and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead for 6 to 8 minutes on a lightly floured surface, or until smooth. Place dough in a well oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and set aside to rise. Let it rise 1 hour, until the dough has doubled in volume.
Punch down dough, and knead in garlic. Pinch off small handfuls of dough about the size of a golf ball. Roll into balls, and place on a tray. Cover with a towel, and allow to rise until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.
During the second rising, preheat grill to high heat.
At grill side, roll one ball of dough out into a thin circle. Lightly oil grill. Place dough on grill, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until puffy and lightly browned. Brush uncooked side with butter, and turn over. Brush cooked side with butter, and cook until browned, another 2 to 4 minutes. Remove from grill, and continue the process until all the naan has been prepared.

and banana pudding, which is just pudding, bananas, and nilla wafers.

The next Wednesday I made Korean. It's called Bulgogi, Korean beef.

This one, you take thin cut beef and marinade it over night in a sauce that you make Consisting of:

1 apples
1 asian pear
1 onion
soy sauce

put it all in a blender and liquify it.
The next day...
fry a thinly sliced onion and a thinly sliced carrot and the beef with soy sauce. Clearly I lost the recipe... because this is not a very good recipe thing... but ya, that's it.
With fried squash and zucchini (from my garden!! well, the zucchini, I didn't grow squash)

I also made this...

which is wonton wrappers (that I made from scratch) with nutella inside and deep fried, with ice cream. so recipe for wonton wrappers:
Ingredients:
•1 egg
•3/4 teaspoon salt
•2 cups all-purpose flour
•1/3 to 1/2 cup water, as needed
•Extra flour as needed
Preparation:
Lightly beat the egg with the salt. Add 1/4 cup water.

Sift the flour into a large bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the egg and water mixture. Mix in with the flour. Add as much of the remaining water as necessary to form a dough. (Add more water than the recipe calls for if the dough is too dry).

Form the dough into a ball and knead for about 5 minutes, or until it forms a smooth, workable dough. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll out until very thin, and cut into 3 1/2-inch squares. Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to use.

so that's all for now!! hasta!

So Many Pictures!!

Okay, this post is catch up on a bunch of pictures that I have. So here we go :-)

This is the GIANT wasp nest that I found one day... I almost put my hand right on it, it scared me to DEATH!! So we got them exterminated and then I took a picture of the scary nest.

This one is my car clean!! YES!!

Once upon a time I was going outside at 7:30 to go to work. So I started driving and thump thump, awesome. flat tire. so...

I jack it up...

Take the tire off

and put the spare on. That's right, I can change a tire all by my little self. (Thanks Janet for having that car activity for Young Womens)so then I was on my merry little way when the unthinkable happened (!)

another flat tire, the spare, it hadn't been used in probably 10 years so I guess it's to be expected. So Macen (one of the barn boys) came to pick me up and we took my tires to Big O and that's the end of that little story. The point of the story is I changed my tire by myself. Hoorah!!

The most giant worm I have EVER seen!!

Natalie looks just a little... drunk maybe??

Oh Creigh...

My beautiful sister Natalie came and visited me twice this summer for a week each and we had so much fun!!

I live in such a beautiful place!! I love it here.

I wanted to be a statue...

I love these girls. They are my friend Charlie's cousins and they are s so adorable. Their names are Natalee, Kiara, and Lily. They are so fun!! :-)

My family and I went to St. George a couple weeks ago and went to Tuachan where we saw "The Little Mermaid" and "Grease" and they were both SO awesome!! One day we needed something to do because Grease was at night, so we went to...

I had never been and it was so cool!! Someday I want to go back and really spend time there (more than 4 hours) but it was cool and I loved all the Casinos. They are just the coolest buildings!! And on the way home I definitely had to watch Ocean's 11. Loved it.

Okay so that's all for this post. :-) Coming next: food posts!! :-) seeya!!
