Catching Up (EO, Miami, Leaving!? and random stuff)
Okay, so my blog really has been kind of neglected. So, here is whats been going on. On July 2 Captain EO opened and I absolutely love it. It is a lot of fun, I get to spend day after day with Michael, and he always manages to make my day better. "We are here to Change the World" and "Another Part of Me" are the 2 featured songs and they are awesome!! The Supreme Leader has the best lines ever. "Silence Infidel" "You think me beautiful?!" "Turn the others into......... (...) trashcans!" "You infect my world with your presence" and of course "So... then we both admit to your... stupidity!!" but Hooter (the space elephant) also has a wonderful line "I think I ate it!" So it's fun to watch all that, but the singing and dancing just... wonderful. Sometimes when I'm getting a little tired (Extra Magic Hours...) well, sometimes when I'm tired, I go into the back of the theater (not the wheelchair section but right in front of it(as long as no one is back there)) and I dance along with Michael. I'm no where as good as him of course, and mobility is limited because I don't want to distract people from the movie lol) but I dance along and it's really super fun :-) So one weekend Anthony (new Image worker from France) was going to Miami and he had invited Andera (new Image crew from Arizona) to go and I was gonna go but I couldn't go cuz I had plans with Hutch and Cari and fam for the 4th of July which was SO MUCH FUN!! we went to this place called Faris and Foster's and I made chocolate!! They have all sorts of molds and cups (like for peanutbutter cups)truffle cups and everything that you could ever imagein (pretzels, strawberries, twinkies, graham crackers and much more) that can be covered in chocolate. and it was SO GOOD!! so that was way fun!! anyway, we decided that we wanted to go to Miami so me, Andrea, Sophie (Image from England) and Erick (Image from Mexico) went to Miami on July 16-17. Lots of driving, driving right through tolls, going to the beach, shopping (2 dresses, 2 cardis, 8 spaghetti straps, 5 pairs of earings and I didn't spend $100!!) more driving, chilling, it was a lot of fun so I'm glad we did that. Another improptu trip (although we did actually decided that we were goig about 2 weeks before we went. So not as random as Boston) and it was fun. Let's see the movies I've seen lately.. Toy Story 3 loved it, made me cry. Killers with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl and it was pretty good. I probably won't buy it but it was good and I'm glad I saw it. Eclipse which I liked. Defs the best Twilight movie so far. I thought it was well done, they got most of the important stuff in the book in although it was sad that they recast Victoria. The new one was not as good as the origional, but still did a good job. Despicable Me was quite possibly one of the funniest movies EVER!! "It's so fluffy I could DIE!!" Ya I loved it. and Finally, The Sorcerers Apprentice based on Fantasia (which is being released again soon!!) and it was really good. Nicholas Cage did a wonderful job!! And the Fantasia scene (with the music and the mops...) my face was quite funny. I was so excited. Oh... i went to Fantasmic! on Sunday and my face was the same then. Andrew (at Fantasmic!) and Paul (and S.P.) were both like... uh...wow. It was great lol. I've been at Disney for 7 months and it hasnt't lost any of the magic. I still love Disney. Always have. Always will. No Matter what. Never changing. I also finally finished the Star Wars moveis. all 6. and the last one (return of the jedi) was my favorite. It was really really good. And I just watched this version of snow white (not anamated) with Miranda Richardson as the Evil Queen and Kristin Kreuk as Snow White. It was a different take on the story but it was still good. I liked it. And I read in Entertainmant Weekly that Tim Burton is doing a version of Sleeping Beauty from Maleficent's point of view. awesome ya?! Angelina Jolie is meant to play Maleficent and I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I'm super excited to see it. Also coming out (but not by Tim Burton) is a new version of Little Mermaid (following origional sotry where she dies) Snow White (following origional story with thieving dwarves) Little Red Riding Hood (set in Midevil times and witha warewolf) and Cinderella (in the blurb it used the word "swashbuckling" and i'm not sure how I feel about that...but we'll see) So that's all stuff to look forward too. The next movie in theaters im planning on seeing is Inception which is supposed to be AMAZING!! I have only 8 days of work left :-( and in 2 weeks from yesterday (right now) I'm walking off a plane in Salt Lake City. Of course, have plans for the week before I go back to Utah but I get to that after it happens. So that's all for now!! Hasta!! :-D

6 Parks in 1 Day....Crazy, I know
So here at Disney, people do 4 parks in one day all the time. Margaret and I decided to follow the Disney Basics. Specifically one. "I go above and beyond" and we did 6 parks in one day. The two universal parks and the 4 disney parks. and MAN i was just dead by the end. We started our day at about 9 AM. Straight to Universal Stuios. We started in the Stuidos going on the Mummy and Men in Black. We have pictures, I'll try to get them on here, but they will be on facebook for sure!! Then we ran over to Islands of Adventures, which was PACKED!! There probably weren't as many people there as there were at any of the Disney Parks yesterday, but its much smaller so it seems much more crowded. Thanks to single rider lines though, we did okay. We got pics with X Men and a fun elephant in Seuss Landing. We rode the water ride...not dudley doright but the other one... i dont remember what its called right now. but we got absolutely soaked, and it was quite gross and uncomfortable so we bought some dresses. Unfortunately, they didn't have any with real sleeves, so i was in a spaghetti strap dress all day but whatever. at least it was clean and dry. After Universal we ran through the mcdonalds drive through and headed to Animal Kingdom. We went on the safari and can I just tell you it was the absolutel worst safari I have ever been on!! I dont know who the guide was but it was just awful. The driver only talked about the animals and nothing else, she was monotone and she didnt say anything about the bridges or anything fun at all. Kind of a snooze...we should have skpped it. When we were walking through Dinoland USA there were suddenly these loud footsteps behind me, I turn around and find Goofy RIGHT behind me. Scared me to death. He and Pluto were walking the park. No attendants though, so we couldnt get pictures. Oh well. Next park: Hollywood Studios. Here we went on The Great Movie Ride and thanks to my AWESOME roomie Katey, we were able to get fastpasses to Rockin Rollercoaster and Towe of Terror so we got to do all of those!! It was great. Next, fly to Epcot to park the car, run across the park and Monorail it to Magic Kingdom. The gold monorail pulls up to the station and we are ready to go until... "Ladies and Gentlmen, we are currently conducting a routine maintenance check on Monorail gold. Thank you for your patience." So we sit there... then they say "We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please board monorail teal behind you and Magic Kingdom will be the third stop." So we all go to monorail teal while monorail gold pulls out. As soon as monorail gold pulls out monorail blue pulls in. Teal leaves, and so does blue. Blue goes straight to MK but we all had to board teal which has to go to polynesian and grand floridian before it goes to MK. So FINALLY we get there. and run through security. We get into the park and go on Pirates and then dash to Splash Mountain where Margaret's friend had fast passes waiting for us. So we run on splash get off, hit up some photo pass people (we got photopass pics in all of the parks. We actually had AMAZING photopass people at Epcot, studios and animal kingdom. So much fun.) and left the park. Get to Epcot, run to soarin where we got some fastpasses from Keith and then headed over to Image, rode the ride, talked to some people and then ran to the front of the park to get Randi and Cale. Then we met up with Keith at Le Cellier and had the most amazing dinner ever!! It was so so good. And I discovered that I do actually like creme brulee. I had it plain in a basic foods class freshman year of high school and i didnt like it. But this was maple creme brulee and made professionally and wow it was good. Then we came home and I hurt. I have blisters and blood and it was simply an exhausting day. It was a lot of fun though, I'm glad we did it. But we will never do it again. Well, that was lots of fun, i'll blog again soon about things that are actually going one... but for now... Hasta :-)

A Vacation from Disney...Who Does That??
Answer: I DO!! But this blog is about more than my vacation from disney. Let's go back to... Tuesday (the day before my vacation lol) Tuesday I got to evac the ride!! This was very exciting because I have always wanted to Evac the ride and I have never got to and I have been here since January. I was starting to get worried that I wouldn't get to Evac the ride ever...but I did. The ride went down at 5 (because motors that like to slack so other motors have to kick it up and it just doesnt' work really well so the ride power disconnects) and we got it going again, but then at 5:30 it went down again for the same reason (apparently it also went down earlier in the day, before I got to work) but this time when it went down, well first there was a woman and her child that got off the ride in the ride so we ran into the ride and told people to remain seated and then Laura chased them out...they had actually left the ride, like went outside backstage, and she couldn't find them but here's the kicker... the woman's husband...stayed in the ride. yeah. he just sat there... but when I got back to dispatch they said we needed to Evac so me, laura, alex, channing, and steven went in the ride (we had never evaced before...any of us) and julie was managaing and she had never evaced either lol. yay. but its not hard, you just push the button turn the train and get the people out. So we evaced the ride and then it got started at around 6:30. it was quite an adventure. I loved it. Hopefully I'll get another evac before i leave.... anyway on tuesday we also had EMH (Extra Magic Hours) so I worked until 11 (which isn't bad since usually with EMH I don't get out until like 12 or 12:15) and then I went to TGI Friday's with Margaret and Kyle but I don't do good with the food thing late at night, it makes me sick. So I got a strawberry Daquari and Brownie Obsession. Yummy. :-) Wednesday I had off so I went to Epcot in the morning because we were having a FWW (Future World West: Land, Imag, Innoventions) cast thing to welcome in Captain EO. I haven't had BBQ in so long and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good :-) Then Randi and I went to Old Key West (A Disney Resort.) Yes, my Vacation from disney was at disney. We chekced in (although we got a little lost in Old Key West...its big, okay??)Then we went swimming. Old Key West has 4 swimming pools and we hit up two of them. The main pool which was awesome!! It had a sand castle that you could go inside and it was a water slide. And it looked like a kinda sad water slide until you went on it and it was AMAZING!! for a swimming pool slide. I mean, it's not a water park slide but it was a lot bigger than we expected. Then we went to another swimming pool that we had mostly to ourselves, which was great. Then we went back to our room and ordered pizza to be delivered and it was so good!! And we watched Sweet Home Alabama, although we had to pause a lot cuz my phone kept ringing. Well, then we went to the swimming pool that was closest to our our room and unfortunately, we didn't have it to ourselves. There were actually quite a few people there, it was like 10 so everyone was getting back from the parks. But we stayed there for a while, and at this pool we hit up the hot tub. We didn't at the other two cuz it was way too hot outside to get in a hot tub, but at 10 it was pretty much perfect :-) SO then we went back and put in Tuck Everlasting and I fell asleep pretty much at the beginning. LIke at the part where Winnie meets them for the first time... and the beds were real beds... pillow top... amazing. I am not looking forward to going back to sleeping on my brick tonight lol. So today we got up at like 9 and went to Olivia's for breakfast, we had Banana Bread French Toast. It was pretty dang good. Then we went to Epcot and played for a little bit. Now I'm watching Star Wars: A New Hope and Haley is making this delicious smelling stir fry thats gonna taste amazing and we are going to go swimming tonight cuz this random outdoor food guy at Epcot wants Randi to go swimming tonight... so we're gonna go. And then I'm going to go to bed and that will be the end of my Disney Vacation. Vacations (even if you are vacationing at your place of employment...a vacation is a vacation) are so essential to your mentality. This is one of the many many things I have learned since moving to Florida. I have learned a lot about life, money, and most importantly I have learned a lot about myself. Randi and I were talking about some of these things, and she said that she could have told them to me a long time ago, which is probably true, but I realized them. Like... kick in the face kind of realization. So thats good. A Vacation from Disney...at Disney... sounds kinda crazy, but it's all good :-) Hasta!!

It's Been a While...
I know its been a really super long time since I blogged, so here we go, quick recap. Nothing to report. I go to work I come home I watch Grey's Anatomy, I sleep. At the end of May Paul and his family came to Orlando so I got to see/meet them and that was a lot of fun. :-) We have a lot of new people at work: Cat, Erick, Alex, Channing, Emiko, Calvin, and Andrea. I like them all, they are a lot of fun. Today I got pulled a 10 minute task and didn't clock back in until over an hour later. Why you ask?? Becasue i was helping a woman who spoke very limited (but not bad) English, and fluent Russian, find her "man" and although she still hadn' found him by the time I left her at guest relations (I had been trying for an hour, there wasn't anything else I could do. I had tried to call her "man" I had called a translator so we could talk better, we looked around Image, and went to Soarin' I had tried everything I could think of.) I am hopeful that she found him. He had her bag: money, phone, everything. All she had on her was a Russian/English dictionary, a notebook, and a spray bottle fan. It was exciting lol. So, I mentioned that I watch Grey's Anatomy... it's true, I have become a hopeless addict. I have falled hopelessly/helplessly in love with Alex Karev, he's beautiful and although he comes off as a jerk, he is really an absolutely amazing guy. (I am fully aware that he is a fictional character). I have also been delving into the Star Wars saga (since apparently it's vital to my existance to watch Star Wars) So far i have watched 1 and 2 and I'll get 3 from netflix on Thursday and then I'll get into the origionals. This month at Hollywood Studios has been Star Wars Weekends. As part of this they do the Cyber Space Hoopla which involves Dancing with the Star Wars Stars. and it's pretty amazing. Can I just tell you... Darth Vader can DANCE!! I'll post my movies soon, or as soon as possible...which could be a while... but I'll post them. Oh yeah, I now officially have my ticket home from Florida. I fly home on August 7. I am of course super excited to see my family and friends from home and everything, but I am going to be devestated to leave Florida. I'm going to be a blubbering mess. Oh well, it's part of life right?? I'll just enjoy the month and a half that I have left here I suppose. :-) Okay, that's all for now. Hasta!!

The Boston Saga and a few other things
First off, we had our last day of Honey I Shrunk the Audience on Sunday and it was way fun!! I got to close photocell (where people come into the theater) and then I got to go in and watch the last show. Then I went to Davey Jones and that was a super fun concert!! then a cast party and Iron Man!! how I love that show!! Then on Monday Louisa asked if I wanted to go to Boston. WE had $10 flights it was super awesome!! So we decided to go. Then Monday night I was Iron Man 2 with Margaret and Keith and it was super awesome!! I love that show!! I got home at about 1 and had to leave at 3:30 so I didnt even go to sleep...

just stayed awake got to the airport, got on the plane which left at 6:30. Could I sleep on the plane?? no. stayed awake. We got to Boston at like 9:30 and figured out the bus/subway system and found our hostel. I had never stayed at one before so it was very interesting but it was pretty nice. Louisa said it was nice for a hostel so that's what I'm going with lol. Then we walked to Boston Common and got on the Trolley!! We went all around Boston, to Fenway park past Copley Place to MIT and then to Harvard!!
We ate at Harvard and bought "Oh the Places You'll Go" in the bookstore. I have officially bought a book at Harvard. I feel cool. Then we went on the Freedom trail which took us around more of Boston and we gotta see some pretty cool historic sites. By then we were exhausted so we walked back Berkely and hit up Newbury Street...didn't buy anything of course. We were really hungry but there's pretty much only pricey resturaunts on Berkely so we just stopped at the coolest 7-11 you'll ever see that was right across the Hostel. We were in our room by 6:30 and asleep by 7. Then we woke up at midnight cuz Louisa fell out of bed. It was super funny. And then went back to sleep and got up at 8. We were in Boston for like 36 hours and we slept for 12 lol. So we went back on the Trolley Tour and got off at at Copley Place. This has lots of stores like Tiffany's...
where I ate breakfast!! I needed to buy new jeans but jeans cost like $100 and i didnt wanna spend that much money on a pair of jeans.
So i bought a new outfit!! It's so cute!! and it cost less than the jeans!! Then we went back past Fenway park, it was game day, the game was starting in 15 minutes and I couldn't go!! it was sad :-( Next, we went on the Boston Harbor Cruise it was 45 minutes and we saw some way cool things there. Then it was back to the airport. We got on the plane at 5:55 the plane was meant to live at 6:25 but sadly it got delayed thanks to weather down in D.C. area so we finally got rerouted and left at about 7:30ish and finally we got home. Margaret was nice enough to come pick us up at the airport and after a quick stop at Dairy Queen for Blizzards and then home. It was a super whirlwind trip but it was super duper fun. Then today I went to walmart...yuck. and then to Cirque du Soleil it was so amazing. Worth every penny. Now im chillin at home blogging. Tomorrow I'm doing an audience control shift for the Chubby Checker concert and Saturday back to my real job. I have had lots of fun but it'll be good to go back. Well, thats pretty much my life right now. luvya!!

Updating My Blog
So apparently I need to update my blog. Megan pretty much yelled at me for not updating it last night lol. So this is my update...The only problem with updating it is... not a whole lot has happened so I don't really have much to update...so I'll post pictures instead!! :-D

This is the Imagination Institue where I work! Back in the day there were some really awesome things to do inside the pyramids but due to ADA regulations, the upstairs is now closed and we have the Kodak ImageWorks downstairs instead. And it is not nearly as cool as what used to be upstairs. These pyramids look way awesome when they are lit up at night. I'll try to get a picture of that.

This picture is of 3 Aussies, a Kiwi, and me!! I love them all and I'm gonna miss them as we all leave and they go back to Australia... so far away. But it's okay, I'm gonna see them in 2012
The only thing that really happened this week, well after the day we had the signal 25 I had to evac the theater cuz the floor was making a weird noise and then of course, maintenance shows up and the floor behaves wonderfully. stupid floor. HISTA just knows it is on the way out and so it is going to give us as many problems as it possibly can. But only 3 more days!! If we are on set shows (running every half hour instead of every 10 minutes) then there are only 69 shows of HISTA left. Actually, less cuz they have been running shows for a couple of hours already today wahoo!! Captain EO here we come!! I have been practicing my moon walking. I learned the technique about a year and a half ago from CJ and Hayden but I always sucked at it. Now, I am decent and you can tell what I'm doing so thats very exciting!! and I'm learning Thriller. Oh Michael Jackson, you're getting to my head. I love it!! Haley, one of the coordinators, wants people to sneak as many michael jackson references into their HISTA spiels as they can. Technically we aren't allowed to talk about Captain EO over the mic but we can say things like it's a "thriller" of an attraction or "I want you back" all the way to the stage "Enjoy yourself" in the movie, I need everyone "off the wall" on the right hand side as that walkway is an emergency exit and so on. On Wednesday night there was the formal and I was totally not going to go I was gonna make dinner, watch a movie, go to bed, but then I randomly ended up going anyway. I decided I was going, got ready, and ran to the front of Chatham in stilettos in about 15 minutes. It was impressive. anyway, that was pretty fun it was just really chill and there was good food, music, people and of course, drama. cant have a dance without drama!! Isn't it amazing what happens when you start blogging?? you just can't stop. here I thought i didnt have anything to write about and then... i just keep going and going like the energizer bunny. So megan, i hope this blog keeps you happy for a while lol. One more thing. I have decided that I am going to Australia in June 2012. Why you may ask?? Well, I have my aussie and kiwi friends (see picture above)and i want to visit them!! and i want to go to australia, i always have!! Well, i have decided that most people get a thrill on their 21 birthday by drinking their way into oblivion. I want a thrill on my 21 birthday too, but not from drinking. I have decided that I will get my thrill by jumping 14000 feet from an airplane and land on the white sands (the place im looking at jumping says white sand) of an exclusive (it also says exclusive) beach in Australia!! It's gonna be a pricey trip but it will SO be worth it!! So thats my plan, and thats all I have to write about... luvya!!

A Blogworthy Day
What an amazing day it was today!! I woke up... chilled for a couple of hours and then headed to EPCOT with Louisa (my Kiwi friend) we just kinda chilled... got some delicious food in France and then met up with Tyler (whose blog, by his own words, is much better than mine ;-) its all good, it really is...) and we watched the American Adventure, which was pretty cool although a little scattered, hard to follow. but the animatronics were AMAZING!! Then to work... it was way awesome tho!! Lou and I got to do the wave (thanks ryan and keith (coordinators)) and that was so much fun!! i got to wear an awesome mickey glove and wave goodbye to thousands of people :-) way fun. and then we had a signal 25 in the building!! so we took everyone out and waited for everything to be all clear and it was great. and today i had an old man ask me if i was going on the ride with them and telling me he has a soft lap. uh... great. so after everything was all clear we were going back into the building I did a cartwheel cuz i was in such a good mood!! i loved Extra Magic Hours tonight!! I was so energetic!! lol i made myself energetic so that i wouldnt fall asleep cuz those were my only two options. Oh, I said i would dedicate a blog to Tyler (old tyler. new tyler is the one whose blog is better than mine) so, ill dedicate a sentence of a blog. Tyler, you are awesome, I will miss you when you leave. done. obligation fulfilled. Awesome, well thats it for now!! luvya!! :-D
